Tomato is a popular fruit used extensively as salad and in food preparations all over India. Tomato has been identified as the district product of Kolar and Chikkaballapura district under the One District One Product scheme of Ministry of Food processing Industries. Tomato grown in these districts is known for its quality in India and abroad.
