Memories of Indipex - 2011

Mr.Udai K Saxena has sent pics of some of the memories of Indiapex 2011, which includes bookmarks and a special cancellation of  My Stamp. Also a Invitation which has been signed by  Mr.Kapil Sibbal, Minister of Communication and IT ,Mr.Sachin Pilot, Mr.Guru Das Kamath both State Minister for Comm and IT  and Jury Mr.Dhiru Bhai Mehta.

First khadi stamp !

A Unique stamp brought out by the India Post made of the hands pun material "Khadi" has interested stamp collectors all over. It was released during Indipex - 2011 the World Philatelic Exhibition held at Delhi. The khadi stamp is diamond-shaped made of khadi cloth specially manufactured in West Bengal.The postage or face value of the stamp is Rs.100/- but sold for a premium of Rs.250/- as a limited issue.

India Post released as set of 6 stamps and a Miniature Sheet on 13 Feb. 2011 on the Legendary heroines of India Film Stars.

India Post issued as set of 4 stamps and a MS at the Inaugural function of Indipex 2011 - World Philatelic Exhibition at Delhi by the honourable President of India on 12th Feb 2011.

Khadi Stamp ( Stamp on Cloth)

India Post on the occasion of INDIPEX 2011 ( World Philatelic Exhibition) is bringing out a special stamp on Gandhiji to commemorate the event. The stamp will be unique as it will be printed on "Khadi", the handspun cotton material that Gandhiji held as the symbol of self determination and self reliance. The stamp will be released on 12th Feb.2011.

Cloth Stamp from India !

It has been decided that India will release its first ever stamp on Cloth, which will be printed on khadi and it will bear the image of  Mahatma Gandhi.This stamp will be issued during the Indipex 2011.
