KARNAPEX - 2024 - Postcrossing Meetup.

A Postcrossing Meetup was held by the Postcrossers of Bengaluru at the venue of  Karnapex - 2024, State Level Philately Exhibition held at Bengaluru. On 7th a meetup was arranged by the Postcrossers,  a card was designed for the occasion and released at the venue. Later it was signed by all the Postcrossers and was posted to other Postcrossers all over India and abroad.

Postcrossing Stamp - Austria

Austria Post issued a Stamp on the theme of Postcrossing on 14th July 2021, which was also the 16th birthday of the Postcrossing platform.

World Postcard Day - Card and Cover.

On the occasion of World Postcard Day there were many cards and covers released by different Postal Organisations and Collectors.

International Tiger Day - Postcards.

A set of 8 Picture Postcards were released at Hyderabad Bureau on the occasion of International Tiger Day.

Postcrossing Stamp - Austria

Austria released a stamp on Postcrossing on 21st May 2016. To celebrate the stamp launch, a meetup was held on Hirtenberg's Kulturehaus , where postcrossers came together to write and send postcards with the new stamp and special first-day cancellation mark.

A set of Postcard was released at the Karnataka Postcrossers meet held on 15th May 2016 at Metro Rangoli Art Centre, Bengaluru.

Karnataka Postcrossers Meet.

Karnataka Postcrossers Meet will be held on Sunday, 15th May 2016 at Rangoli Metro Art Centre, Bengaluru. Postcrosssers from all over Karnataka will meet and an Exhibition on postcards of UNESCO World Heritage Centre will be held at the Venue. All interested Postcrossers are Welcome to the Meet and Exhibition.

 

Enchanting Sundarban - Picture Postcards.

North Karnataka Postal circle has released their 15th set of Picture Postcards “Enchanting Sundarban” on 21st March, on the occasion of  International day of Forests . The set contains 48 cards with an attractive box, priced at Rs.200/-.  It is a mixed set of postcard with varied images of Sundarban which is worth collecting or to be used by Postcrossers and Collectors. It is available at all Post Shoppe's in Karnataka.

Mammals of India - Picture Postcards.

North Karnataka Postal circle has released thier 14th set of Picture Postcards “Mammals of India”. The set contains 48 cards and comes in an attractive box and is priced at Rs.150/-.  It is a really beautiful set of postcard which is worth collecting or to be used by Postcrossers and philatelists.

Birds of the Himalayas - Vol II - Picture Postcards

India Post North Karnataka Region (Dharwad) has released a set of 48 Picture postcards  on the theme Birds of the Himalayas to observe the International Biodiversity decade 2011-2020. It is released as Vol II in continuation to the earlier set and comes in an attractive box priced at Rs.150/- 

Incredible India - Picture Postcards.

The North Karnataka Postal Division has released a set of 48 picture postcards titled 'Incredible India' on 15th August 2015.

The set is available at Rs.150/- packed in an attractive box. This is the tenth set brought out by them specially to help the Postcrossing members. This set has cards on various mixed themes. The earlier set was on the 'Birds of Himalayas.

Postcrossing Booklet - Russia

In the month of January 2015, Russia joined the earlier group of Countries, which released Postcrossing stamps. It also  issued a cover with stamps and a beautiful booklet which has a sheetlet of 9 stamps and a cover.

Russian Post released a stamp on the Postcrossing project on 27th January 2015.

Postcrossing - an International project, whose goal is communication between people from different countries, regardless of their location, age, gender and nationality, through postcards sent through the public postal service. Currently, Postcrossing has members from almost all countries, except few countries in the World.

Karnapex 2015 had an exclusive booth for Postcrossing this time. Postmaster General of North Karnataka, Mr.Bishnu Sarangi and his team has taken special interest in this direction. Many of the Public and the school children were keen to know more about Postcrossing.

Maxi Card from Russia

Maxi card of  "The weathering pillars of the Manpupuner plateau" of Russia  received from a postcrosser in Finland.

Vasa

 

 

 Vasa which set sail on its maiden voyage from the capital city Stockholm in Sweden on 10th August 1628. After a few minutes, after sailing about 2 Kms, the Ship keeled over and sank. It was after 333 years in 1961, theVasa was salvaged. It has become a global attraction and it is the only preserved vessel from the 16th Century of its kind in the World. It is housed in its own Museum on Djurgarden in Stockholm
