Russia Post released a stamp to celebrate 100th Birth Anniversary of  Vladimir Vinogradov (1923–2003), a scientist, in the field of oil and gas industry, on 25th February 2023 depicting his portrait and the building of Gubkin Moscow Institute of Oil and Gas Industry.

Yuri Knorozov

Russia Post released a stamp on 100th birth Anniversary of Yuri Knorozov scientist, historian, ethnographer, founder of the Soviet school of Maya studies on 19th November 2022 featuring his portrait and Mayan hieroglyphic codices in the background.

Yuri Knorozov (1922-1999) was a historian and ethnographer, a linguist and epigraphist, a translator, the founder of the Soviet school of the Maya language studies.

G. A. Ilizarov

Russia Post issued a stamp on 100 years since the birth of G. A. Ilizarov (1921-1992), scientist, academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences on 15th June 2021 depicting himself with a compression-distraction device he invented in his hands.

A.D. Sakharov

Russia Post released a stamp to celebrate 100 years since the birth of A.D. Sakharov (1921-1989), scientist on 21st May 2021.Andrei Dmitrievich Sakharov (1921-1989) was a Soviet physicist, academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences, one of the creators of the Soviet hydrogen bomb, public figure and human rights activist, People's Deputy of the USSR, was also winner of the Nobel Peace Prize.

Nuclear Industry in Russia

Russia Post issued a stamp on 8th September2020 to celebrate 75th Anniversary of Nuclear Industry in Russia depicting an image of the nuclear industry staff workers and the logo.

Pavel M. Golubitsky

Russia Post released a stamp on Pavel M. Golubitsky, an outstanding Russian inventor in the field of telephony on 16th March 2020, depicting a telephone set along with his Portrait.

P. Golubitsky’s inventions are as follows: a dipole telephone, a multipolar telephone; a coal powder microphone, a microphone with a comb-like arrangement of coal; a power supply system of subscribers’ microphones with a common battery situated in the central station, which provided the means of building large urban telephone networks; and a telephone switch to interconnect pair-wise several telephone lines. P. Golubitsky was a pioneer of telephone service implementation on railway transport.

Zhorez Ivanovich Alferov.

Russia Post issued a stamp on 12th March 2020 of the Noble Prize Winner for Physics Zhorez Ivanovich Alferov who is a Soviet and Russian physicist and political figure. The stamp depicts Alferov’s portrait against a semiconductor hetero-junction laser and the scientist’s quotation and sketches.

National Science Day 2019

A special cover was released on 28th February 2019 for the National Science Day at Bengaluru.

February 28 is celebrated as 'National Science Day' all over India, to commemorate the announcement of the discovery of 'Raman Effect' by Sir C.V. Raman. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930.

Boris Rosing

Russia Post released a stamp to celebrate 50 years since the birth of Boris Rosing, scientist and inventor of electronic television on 6th May 2019.

The stamp depicts the portrait of B.L. Rosing ans in the background, a model of a receiving cathode ray tube and a television receiver KVN-49.

Dmitri Mendeleev

Russia Post released a stamp to celebrate International year of Dmitri Mendeleev Periodic table on 19th March 2019 which is overprint on the 2009 souvenir sheet " The 175th anniversary of birth D.I.Mendeleev.

Birth Centaneray of A.M. Prokhorov

Russia Post released a stamp on 22nd September 2017 on Alexander Prokhorov (1916–2002) who was an outstanding Soviet physicist, one of the founders of quantum electronics. A laser technology pioneer, he won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1964.

Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam

Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi released a stamp on the former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, to celebrate his 84th birth anniversary at DRDO Bhawan, in New Delhi on 15th October, 2015. Union Ministers, Shri Manohar Parrikar, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad and Dr. Harsh Vardhan were also present on the occasion.

A.P.J.Abdul Kalam was the 11th President of India from 2002 to 2007. He is Widely referred to as the "People's President,"As he is a Scientist, and was intimately involved in India's civilian space program and military missile development efforts. He thus came to be known as the Missile Man of India for his work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology. 

S. P. Kapitsa

A commemorative stamp was released by Russia Post on 12th February 2015 on S. P. Kapitsa, a famour Russian Scientist and Physicist.

Yakov Borisovich Zeldovich.

Russia Post released a stamp to celebrate 100th birth anniversary of Yakov Borisovich Zeldovich (1914-1987), a theoretical physicist on 5th May 2014.

Vladimir Andreevich Steklov

Russia post issued its first stamp of 2014 on 9th January 2014 featuring VA Steklov, a scientist.

100th Birth Centenary of Flerov

Russia Post released a stamp to celebrate100th Birth Centenary of  Flerov (1913-1990), nuclear physicist on 21st January 2013.

The stamp depicts a portrait of GN Flerov and the 114th element of the periodic table of chemical elements named in honor of the scientist Flerov.

Kirill Ivanovich Shchyolkin - Russian Scientist.

Russia released a stamp on 17 May 2011 on Kirill Ivanovich Shchyolkin who was a scientist in the field of nuclear physics and one of the supervisors to build atomic weapons. He was awarded several orders and medals and the winner of the Lenin Prize and three Stalin Prizes.

The 100th anniversary of birth of Mstislav Keldysh

Russia released a stamp of 12 Roubles on 25 Jan 2011 on the 100th anniversary of birth of Mstislav Keldysh (1911-1978). He was a pioneer in the field of mathematics and mechanics, theoretical astronautics. As president of Academy of Sciences, he Played a crucial role in the development of computational mathematics and machine, in the creation of effective methods of calculation applied in nuclear and space technology.He was one of the initiators of the deployment works on space exploration and the creation of space rocket systems, leading to the mid 1950's. development of theoretical assumptions withdrawal of artificial bodies into Earth orbit, and in the future - Flight to the Moon and other planets of the solar system. Also directed the scientific and technical advice on the coordination of research institutes and design to create the first artificial Earth satellite. Made an enormous contribution to the manned flights, in the formulation of scientific problems and studies near-Earth space, the interplanetary medium, the Moon and other planets in the solution of many problems of space flight mechanics and control theory, navigation, and heat transfer.
