On 30th January 2023, at Patna GPO, a special cancellation was issued to spread an awareness towards Cleanliness. To give an impetus to awareness for cleanliness, Mahatma Gandhi wrote in Young India (19.11.1925), 'Cleanliness is next to Godliness' In addition to regular constituents of Special Cancellation and image of Mahatma Gandhi , this Cancellation incorporates 'स्वच्छता ' in Gandhi's handwriting and 'शौचम तप उच्यते' i. e. 'Cleanliness is Austerity' culled from the Gita (chapter XVII verse 14).
