POSTPEX 2018

POSTPEX 2018, a unique and first of it's kind of exhibition was conducted in Bangalore from 14th to 16th December 2018. It was only for the serving & retired Departmental Officials and their children. Their collection were exhibited. It will be an exhibition to promote Philately not only among the public but also among the Postal staff and their children. 

 2 special covers were released on 14th December 2018 at the venue of Postpex 2018.

POSTPEX 2018

National Level Philatelic Exhibition organized at Bengaluru from 14th to 16th December 2018, by Karnataka Postal Circle exclusively for serving & retired Departmental Officials and their children. This exhibition marks an important stage in the historical progression of philatelic exhibitions. This special cover is released to commemorate "POSTPEX 2018"

K.R.Murthy - Builder of Bengaluru GPO

Shri K.R.Murthy, then Postmaster General (1977 to 1982) of Karnataka Postal Circle and later Secretary, Department of Posts, was the Builder of Bengaluru GPO which is the pride of India Post. The new building was inaugurated by Shri Rajiv Gandhi, then Prime Minister of India on 14-11-1985. This special cover is released during "POSTPEX 2018" in memory of Shri K.R. Murthy for his great contribution to India Post.
