Hump-Backed Masheer.Hump-backed Mahseer (Tor remadevii] also called as "Orange- finned Mahseer' is a charismatic freshwater fish. endemic to river cauvery and its tributaries. which is on the brink of extinction. It is recognized as one of the world's top 20 freshwater mega fauna and is popularly known as the "Tiger of the Cauvery River". It is characterized by a distinctive "hump-shaped back and orange tinged fins". Mahseer plays a very vital role in balancing the riverine ecosystem by feeding on everything from fish. frogs, crabs, aquatic insects. worms, fruit, seeds, leaves and algae. This Special Cover is released to create awareness among the public towards this "Critically endangered" species which is on the list of International Union for Conservation of Nature (ICUN) Red List, as it is threatened by poaching, destructive fishing methods. introduction of invasive and competing fish species. pollutants and habitat degradation.

Nimmalakunta Leather Puppetry

A Special cover on the Nimmalakunta Leather Puppetry was released at Viajayawada on 8th September 2021.

Nimmalakunta leather puppets are made of parchment leather, made out of goat skin with perforation hand painting to depict different characters from epics. These puppets are used in shadow puppetry shows called "Thotu Bommalata", a performing art for the role folk, particularly in the themes like Ramayana & Mahabharatha. The production has been diversified to lampshades, partition screens, wall decorative, Xmas hangings to suit the contemporary trends.

Banaganapalli Mango

 A Special cover on Banganapalli Mango was released on 6th September 2021 at Andhra Pradesh.

Banaganapalli (Baneshan) Mango is called" King of Mangoes". It received geographical indication tag in May 2017 for its sweetness. It's characteristics are golden yellow colour, soft, less fibre pulp and very light spots on the skin. The primary centre Is Banaganapalli of Kurnool district. It is grown over 100 years in AP, at present it is grown in 3.78 lakh hectares in 12 districts of Andhra Pradesh, with production of 49.26 lacs MTS per annum and annual turnover of Rs. 461 crores. The prime season for the fruit is mid-February to mid-July.

The Great Moscow State Circus

Russia Post released a souvenir sheet on 50 years of the Great Moscow State Circus on Vernadsky Avenueon 28th April 2021 depicting the building of the Great Moscow State Circus, artists performing in various circus acts and animals.

The Bolshoi Moscow State Circus was opened on April 30, 1971. The building, designed by architect Ya. B. Belopolsky, is a tent glazed around the entire circumference with a folded dome with a height of 26 m. The auditorium is designed for 3,300 seats. The circus has five fast — changing arenas-equestrian, ice, water, illusion and light, which allow you to use a variety of numbers in one performance.Over 50 seasons, the Bolshoi Moscow State Circus has hosted more than 20,000 performances, which were attended by over 67 million viewers. Almost all the stars of the world and domestic circus took part in its programs.
