Vasectomy Fortnight

A special cover was released on 4th December 2020 at Bengaluru on the occasion of Vasectomy Fortnight, conducted by the Department of Health and Family Welfare.

The National Family Welfare Programme was launched in India in1952. No-Scalpel Technique was introduced in India in 1992 to Increase male participation in family planning. This is an easier, safest and faster procedure and causes minimal damage to tissues and it is a permanent method of Male Sterilization.

Constitution Day

A special cover was released to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Constitution Day on 25th November 2020 at Bengaluru.

Constitution Day also known as "Samvidhan Divas', is celebrated in our country on 26th November every year to commemorate the adoption of 'the Constitution of India. On 26th November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, which came into effect from 26th January 1950. On 19th November. 2015, the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment notified the decision of the Government of India to celebrate the 26th day of November every year as 'Constitution Day'. lt is the longest written Constitution in the world containing 395 Articles. 22 Parts and 12 Schedules.

Russia Post issued a stamp on 25th August 2020 to celebrate 175th Birth Anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev with an image of Kazakh yurts and a herd of horses along with his Portrait.Abai Kunanbayev (1845-1904) was a poet, writer, composer, public figure and the founder of the Kazakh written literature.

Russia Post issued a stamp on 24th August 2020 to celebrate 175th Birth Anniversary of Lev S. Golitsyn, the founder of wine making in Crimea depicting an image of the Massandra winery and a Gold Medal of the 1900 Paris Exhibition along with his Portrait.

Russia Post issued a circular souvenir sheet on 18th August 2020 depicting an image of the emblem of the 175th Anniversary of the Russian Geographical Society and a map of the world with images reflecting the major geographical researches and discoveries.
