A special cover was released on 4th December 2020 at Bengaluru on the occasion of Vasectomy Fortnight, conducted by the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
The National Family Welfare Programme was launched in India in1952. No-Scalpel Technique was introduced in India in 1992 to Increase male participation in family planning. This is an easier, safest and faster procedure and causes minimal damage to tissues and it is a permanent method of Male Sterilization.
