Cities of labor valor

Russia Post released a souvenir sheet on the Cities of labor valor on 25th August 2022. A City of Labor Valor is an honorary title of the Russian Federation, instituted by the Federal Law of March 1, 2020 “in order to commemorate the feat of home front workers during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945”.

The Sheet depicts the following: 

1.monument to the Gunsmiths of Udmurtia, Heroes of the Labor Front of the Great Patriotic War in Izhevsk;
2. monument the Knot of Memory in Magadan (sculptor V. Roldugin and architect N. Lushik);

3.monument to Omsk Home Front Workers of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 in Omsk (sculptor S. Noryshev, architect I. Vakhitov); 

4.monument to Heroes of the Front and Rear in Saratov (architect P. Voys);
5. monument to Home Front Workers in Ufa (sculptor A. Kovalchuk);

6. monument to the Ya-12 artillery tractor in Yaroslavl.
