A special cover was released on 24th August 2019 on the occasion of 34th All India Postal Chess Tournament 2019 at Patna.
The 34th All India Postal Chess Tournament 2019 was organised by India Post from 19.08.2019 to 24.08.2019 at Pataliputra Sports Complex, Patna.1500 years ago,Chess originated in India and it was known as Chaturanga. Chessboard, heritage building of Patna G P O, and Pataliputra Sports Complex are depicted as cover illustration and the logo of the 34th All India Postal Chess Tournament 2019 is depicted in the Cancellation.
