World Food Day.

Karnataka Postal Circle released a special cancellation on 16th October 2025 to celebrate World Food Day. This cancellation was made available at all Bureaus and other Head Post offices in Karnataka.

Swachh Otsav

Tamil Nadu Postal Circle released a special cancellation on 24th September 2025 to celebrate Swachh Otsav. This cancellation was made available at Coimbatore Head Post Office.

New Mangalore Port Authority

India Post released a stamp to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of New Mangalore Port Authority on 15th October 2025.

Situated at the convergence of Gurupura and Nethravathi rivers, the Old Port (Bunder) at Mangalore had its own constraints to meet the growing demand for sea trade. Hence, the need for a new port was felt post-independence and with the visionary leadership of Late U. Srinivas Mallya, former MP of the region the New Mangalore Port was born. The Mangalore Harbour Project was set up in the year 1962 and the construction commenced in 1968. The Port was inaugurated on 11th January 1975.
