Russia Post released a stamp to celebrate the Cosmonautics Day on 12th April 2023 featuring the artwork by Competition Winner I. Miroshnichenko which has an image of a cosmonaut against the background of outer space.

Yu. Lisyansky

Russia Post released a stamp to celebrate 250th Birth Anniversary of Yu. Lisyansky (1773–1837), navigator, explorer, participant of the first Russian round-the-world expedition on 12th April 2023 depicting his portrait and an image of sloops Nadezhda and Neva.

In 1793-1799, Lisyansky did his military service as a volunteer on the ships of the British Navy. During those years, he sailed extensively to North America and the Canadian coasts, South Africa, India and the West Indies.

Upon his return to Russia, in 1798, he was promoted to the rank of captain-lieutenant and commanded the Avtroil frigate. In November of 1802, he was awarded the Order of St. George, 4th class, for 18 sea campaigns.

In 1803-1806, Ivan Kruzenstern and Yuri Lisyansky on sailing sloops Nadezhda and Neva executed the first circumnavigation in the history of the Russian Fleet. During the three-year expedition, the ships sailed together only 375 days and 720 days on their own. Yuri Lisyansky was the first to describe Hawaii in his book Journey Around the World (in 2 volumes, 1812). During his cruising, he made detailed observations of winds and currents, compiled rich mineral, zoological, ethnographic and botanical collections, described tens of islands and many hundreds of miles of coastlines. For his services, he was promoted to captain second rank and in August of 1806, he was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir, 3rd class, money reward and life pension.

Karnataka Postal Circle released a special cancellation on 15th September 2023 to celebrate Engineers Day. This cancellation was made available at all Bureaus and other Head Post offices in Karnataka.

Defense Accounts Department

A Special cover was released on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of the Defense Accounts Department at Thirumala on 2nd June 2023.

Chandrayaan - 3

A Special cover was released on 23rd August 2023 at Bengaluru to celebrate the unique achievement and success of Chandrayaan - 2.

Chandrayaan - 3 is the third Indian lunar exploration mission under the Chandrayaan program of ISRO. It consists of a lander named "Vikram" and a rover named"Pragyan".

N. Sklifosovsky Scientific Research Institute of Emergency Medicine

Russia post released a stamp to celebrate 100th Anniversary of N. Sklifosovsky Scientific Research Institute of Emergency Medicine on 5th April 2023 depicting the image of it's building.

The Sklifosovsky Institute is the largest multi-speciality scientific and practical center for emergency and elective care in Russia and the only multi-speciality emergency hospital in Moscow dealing with the problems of emergency surgery, intensive care, concomitant and burning injuries, emergency cardiology and acute poisoning.

National Small Industry Day

Karnataka Postal Circle released a special cancellation on 30th August 2023 to celebrate National Small Industry Day. This cancellation was made available at all Bureaus and other Head Post offices in Karnataka.

Rakhi Envelope - 2023

India Post Karnataka Circle issued a Rakhi Envelope which is made available at all HPO's and Philatelic Bureau's in Karnataka.

International Day Of The World's Indigenous People - Special Cancellation.

On account of "International Day Of The World's Indigenous People" a special cancellation was issued by Maharashtra Circle on the 9th August 2023. A Private cover was designed by Chaitanya Jogdeo for the Occasion.

M.Haridas Rao.

A Special cover was released in memory of  M.Haridas Rao on 20th May 2023 at Udupi.

M.Haridas Rao was born at Marpalli in Udupi district. He ws a freedom fighter, Publisher, journalist and creative writer. He is remembered even today for his great novel"Balind Gida". Though he lived as hort life, his literary output is considered valuable. He had a noble life upholding the spirit if freedom and moral thoughtfulness and his works are beacon of culture.
