Chauri-Chaura

A special cover was released on 4th February 2021 at Gorakhpur to commemorate the centenary of the Chauri-Chaura incident that occurred during the Non-cooperation Movement, called and led by Mahatma Gandhi. The cover illustration depicts the Shaheed Smarak located in Chauri-Chaura,  Gorakhpur. The cancellation depicts artist's impression of the movement.

The High Court of Gujarat

India Post has released a stamp on the occasion of Diamond Jubilee of the High Court of Gujarat on 6^th February 2021. The High Court of Gujarat came to be established on 1st May, 1960 as a result of bifurcation of the former State of Bombay into two States of Maharastra and Gujarat.

Dr. Manchala Jagannadha Rao

A special cover was released to celebrate the centenary of Dr. Manchala Jagannadha Rao on 3rd February 2021 at Hyderabad.

25th International Film Festival of Kerala

A special cover was released to celebrate the silver Jubilee celebration of International Film Festival of Kerala on 29th January 2021 at Thiruvananthapuram.

The international Film Festival of Kerala is organised by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala. It is held every year in Thiruvananthapuram. The Festival was first held in 1994. In 1998 the Chalachitra Academy was formed and it was entrusted with the conduct of IFFK together with other activities for promotion of cinema in the State. In 1999 a competition section was added and the festival obtained FIAPF accreditation. Over the years the IFFK has grown into one of the most anticipated film events in the country with over 12000 delegates attending it annually.

 A Special cover was released on 4th January 2021 at Mumbai to celebrate World Braille Day.

Central India Philatelic Society prepared a cover and Postcard to commemorate 125th Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on 23rd January 2021. Satna H.P.O. provided special cancellation of Parakram Diwas.

Russia Post released a stamp to mark the 50th Anniversary of state-run Sportloto lotteries depicting an image of the Sportloto lottery emblem.

PARAKRAM DIWAS

 A special cover is released on 23rd January 2021 to commemorate the declaration of this day as "PARAKRAM DIWAS" every year, from 2021, being the 125th Birth Anniversary year of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

In order to honour and remember Netaji's indomitable spirit and selfless service to the nation, Government of India has decided to celebrate his birthday on the 23rd day of January every year as "PARAKRAM DIWAS" to inspire people of the country, especially the youth, to act with fortitude in the face of adversity as Netaji did, and to infuse in them a spirit of patriotic fervour.

Russia Post released a stamp to mark the 100th Birth Anniversary of Vladimir P. Ivanov (1920–1996), designer of radar aircraft units on 24th November 2020 depicting V. Ivanov’s portrait and A-50 aircraft drawings.

50 years of Statehood of Himachal Pradesh

 India Post released a stamp to mark 50 years of Statehood of Himachal Pradesh on 25th January 2021.

UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)

Russia Post released a stamp to mark the 75th Anniversary of the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) depicting its logo and its activities on 16th November 2020.

UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, is a specialized agency of the United Nations for educational, scientific and cultural issues.

The organization was founded on November 16, 1945; it is headquartered in Paris (France). Currently, it amounts to 195 member states, 2 observer states and 10 associate members, which are territories that are not responsible for the conduct of their international relations.

The aims declared by the organization are to promote world peace and security through wider international cooperation between states and peoples in the fields of education, sciences, and culture; to ensure justice and observance of lawfulness, universal respect for human rights and fundamental human freedoms proclaimed in the UN Charter for all peoples, regardless of race, gender, language, orientation or religion.

Covid-19 Vaccination Launch

A special cover was released to commemorate the landmark step of lndia in fighting COVID·19 at Bengaluru on 16th January 2021.

India will commence one of the largest coronavirus vaccination drives in the world from 16th January 2021. Nearly 3 erore health care and front line workers will receive the vaccine during the first phase. Two doses of the vaccine will be given at a 28-days interval.
