Pink Gallery

For the first time in the Philatelic history of India, a unique PINK GALLERY was introduced at Jabalpur (M. P.) during District Level Philatelic Exhibition MARBLEPEX-2019 on 3rd & 4th October 2019. India Post had organized this 100 frame exhibition. A lady Philatelist of Jabalpur Mrs. Mokshada Khodiyar had submitted a proposal that a separate gallery should be established for the female exhibitors. President Organizing Committee & Senior Superintendent of Post Offices Mr. Atul Tiwari accepted the proposal. In tune with the latest trained of Pink Booth managed wholly by the ladies staff in the general elections, this gallery was given name as PINK GALLERY.

Women Philatelic Club:

All the female stamp collectors gathered in the prize distribution ceremony on 4th Oct 2019 formed Women Philatelic Club. it was announced from the stage and all the members of this new Club called upon the stage. A beautiful memento had been given to Senior Philatelist & Jury member Mr. Sudhir Jain (Satna) during concluding function which he had presented to this newly formed Women Philatelic Group.Pink Gallery was decorated with pink co lour curtains and attractive display boards. Exhibits of ten female collectors exhibited in this gallery.

Russia Post released a stamp to celebrate 100 years of Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on 18th June 2019 depicting the building and the emblem.

Nobel Prize Laureates. P.L. Kapitsa (1894–1984), physicist

Russia Post released a stamp on Nobel Prize Laureates. P.L. Kapitsa (1894–1984), physicist depicting the portrait of Pyotr Leonidovich Kapitsa on the background of the drawing of the “spider” device, which the physicist invented to demonstrate the phenomenon of helium super fluidity discovered by him.

Dr.Gubbi Veeranna

A special cover was released to celebrate the 128th Birth Anniversary of Dr.Gubbi Veeranna on 30th January 2019 at Gubbi.

Dr. Gubbi Veeranna (1891-1972) was pioneer and most prolific contributor to Kannada theatre. He established a drama company, which was known as Gubbi Company. The company played a crucial role in promoting the Kannada theatre. He was a "Padmashree" awardee and conferred with the title "Nataka Ratna". There is a popular saying that the story of Gubbi Company is the story of Kannada theatre.

Ilya Efimovich Repin

 Russia Post released a stamp on Ilya Efimovich Repin, Russia Painter and Professor on 29th May 2019 depicting Repin “The ceremonial meeting of the State Council on May 7, 1901, the day of the centenary of its establishment” (1901–1903, State Russian Museum); and  I.E. Repin (1887, State Tretyakov Gallery) against the background of the interior of the I.E. Repin "Penates" and the logo of the Russian Academy of Arts.

Bandra Gymkhana

A special cover on the Bandra Gymkhana was released on 11th September 2019 at Mumbai.

Vasily Dmitrievich Polenov

Russia Post released a stamp to celebrate 175 years since the birth of Vasily Dmitrievich Polenov, a Russian artist on 29th May 2019.

The postage stamp depicts a painting by V.D. Polenova "Overgrown Pond" (1879, State Tretyakov Gallery), outside is the portrait of V.D. Polenova work I.E. Repin (1877, State Tretyakov Gallery) against the background of the interior of the State Memorial Historical, Art and Natural Museum-Reserve of V.D. Polenova and the logo of the Russian Academy of Arts.

Mahatma Gandhi in Leonard Theological College, Jabalpur.

A Special cover was released on 5th October 2019 to celebrate Mahatma Gandhi in Leonard Theological College, Jabalpur.

150th Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi - Octogonal Stamps

A set of 6 Octagonal stamp and miniature sheet in a new format was released by India Post to mark the 150th Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd October 2019.

Bapuji's Tumakuru Visit.

A special cover was released on 2nd October 2019 to celebrate the Visit of Mahatma Gandhi to Tumakuru.

Gandhiji visited Tumakuru during 1927. He stayed in Govt. High school, B H Road Tumakuru which was inaugurated by the then Maharaja of Mysore Krishnaraja Wadiyar IV in 1900. He delivered a public speech in the high school ground on July 16th 1927. During his speech, he thanked all particularly the reception committee. He spoke about the poor students fund named after him. He told "I am also poor myself and relative of the poor" (Badavara Bhandhu).The school building where Gandhiji stayed is now known as Gandhi Bhavan (Gandhi Smaraka Bhavana).
