The First IAF Dakota DC-3 Aircraft VP·905 Landed at Srinagar on 27 October 1947 With No 1 Sikh Regiment to Protect Kashmir. The Dc-3 Aircraft Presented to the IAF has been allotted the Same Registration VP-905 to commemorate the Event.

Vidyarthi Bhavana

A special cover was released on 26th October 2018 to celebrate the Platinum jubilee of Vidyarthi Bhavana at Bengaluru.

Vidyarthi Bhavan, a heritage South Indian vegetarian restaurant, started in 1943 as a small students' eatery (from where it got its name), has metamorphosed into a milestone in culinary history of Bengaluru, drawing people from all walks of life.

Vologda Kremlin

Russia Post issued a stamp of Vologda Kremlin on 29th June 2018. 

The Vologodsky Kremlin is a historical and architectural ensemble in Vologda founded as a fortress in 1567 by the order of Ivan the Terrible. It was used as a fortification in the 16th and 17th centuries.

This special cover was carried by Boat from Shringverpur to Rasoolabad Ghat Allahabad.

50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations - Russia and Singapore.

Russia Post released a set of 2 stamps jointly with Singapore on 25th June 2018 depicting Zaryadye Park in Moscow and Gardens by the Bay in Singapore.

Zaryadye Park is a 13-hectare modern park for rest and entertainment in the center of Moscow. The park recreates ecosystems of different regions of the Russian Federation. All cultural and entertainment facilities and new technologies of the park seamlessly blend into the landscape.

Gardens by the Bay, with an area of 101 hectares, is located on the coast of the Marina Bay in central Singapore. The park is known all over the world for its unusual architectural structures - super trees, huge tree-like structures, 25-50 m high. The greenhouse complex of the park consists of two greenhouses - the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest.

Hobby Festival 2018

2 Special covers were released during Hobby Festival 2018 held at Delhi on 10th October 2018 to celebrate 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the Heritage Transport Museum, New Delhi.

Tarangini - 2018

India Posts organized Tarangini 2018, a District Level Philately Exhibition on 6th and 7th  September 2018 at National Career Service centre, Karkardooma, Delhi.

Cyclothon - Special Cycle carried covers.

CPMG Karnataka Circle Dr. Charles Lobo included a Fitness Awareness event during National Postal Week- 2018 for the postal employees, A Cyclothon was organised with this view.

A Special carried cover release was also conceptualised for the event on 14th October 2018, where the participating teams carried the covers popularizing postal services including philately along the way. The participant also had sign board fixed on each bicycle with postal and save environment slogans.

Three enthusiastic teams started as early as 6.30 AM on 14th October 2018 from three different cities - Channapatna, Tumkur and Kolar which are approximately 70 Kms away from Bengaluru. All team reached Bengaluru GPO between 3 PM to 5 PM. Dr. Charles Lobo along with PMG BG Rajendra Kumar , Mr, Shivram Mr. Chandrasekhar other officials waited from as early 1 PM to receive the Participants. As the Participants started entering the GPO premises, they cheered and welcomed by all. Dr. Charles Lobo honored each member of the team by garlanding and congratulating them.

In the valedictory function at GPO the next day, 10 lucky members of the participants get to win a bicycle each.
