GLONASS - Russian Space Navigation System

A special stamp was released by Russia Post on 5th July 2016 depicting GLONASS - Russian Space Navigation System.

GLONASS ("GLObal NAvigation Satellite System") is a Russian satellite navigation system providing real-time positioning services to unlimited number of users on land, at sea, in the air and in space. The stamp features the GLONASS-K satellite and graphic icons representing the main consumers of the satellite navigation system services.

India Post has announced a Stamp Design Competition on theme "Nature: India" to be released on the occasion of Republic Day 2017. The last date for receipt of entry is 20th Dec. 2016.

Exotic Birds

A set of 2 miniature sheet and sheetlets on Exotic birds were released by India Post on 5th December 2016. One of the miniature sheet depicts birds like Blue Throated Macaw, Sun Conure, and Magnum Amazon and the other Cape Parrot, Hyacinth Macaw and the Lesser Sulphur Crested Cockatoo.

Traffic Safety

The Russian Post released a stamp of Traffic Safety on 28th June 2016 on the ocassion of 8oth year of  General Directorate for Road Traffic Safety, Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (SAI), which deals with the Road Safety. The stamp depicts  the theme of security when transporting children in the car.
