Asian Mycological Congress - 2015

A special cover was released on 7th October 2015 on the ocassion of Asian Mycological Congress - 2015 held at Goa from 7th to 10th October 2015  by Shri Laxmikant Parsekar, Chief Minister of Goa at the Goa University. A stamp exhibition on Mycological species was presented by Dr. Bernard Rodrigues, Professor, Department of Botany, Goa University.

‘INDUSEM2015’, the 11th INDO-US World Congress of Emergency Medicine was organized at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi from 30th September to 4th October 2015 at New Delhi. A special cover on Injury prevention was released in Delhi on 3rd October 2015.

 A special cover was released on 2nd October 2015 at Chennai to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Integral Coach Factory, Chennai. Shri Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways and Shri Charles Lobo, Chief Postmaster General, Tamilnadu Postal Circle were present.

Commemorative Stamps on the First and Third Gorkha Rifles were released to celebrate completion of  200 years of their raising and to mark the Bicentenary of both the regiments on 2nd November 2015.

Year of Literature in Russia

A  stamp was released to celebrate the Year of Literature in Russia on 25th June 2015.The stamp depicts the logo of the "Year of Literature 2015" whose main tasks is to draw attention to reading, problem-solving book sector and stimulate interest of Russians to the books.

Department of Posts is holding Stamp design competition for ‘Republic Day 2016’ and the theme of the competition is “Vibrant India”.

Third Africa-India Forum Summit

Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, President of Zimbabwe and AU Chairperson, Robert Mugabe and other dignitaries released a Set of 6 commemorative stamps and Miniature Sheets on Third Africa-India Forum Summit (AIFS-III) at New Delhi on 29th October 2015.

Two types of  Miniature Sheets with 6 stamps each were released on the same design, one being  ordinary   ( price same as face value of Rs.70/- )and the other with stamps embossed in Gold and Silver colours priced at Rs. 300 with a presentation pack, which was made available online at e-post.  Four stamps are in denomination of Rs. 5 and two stamps are in denomination of Rs. 25 each. Stamps depict Indian and African Rhinoceros, Black Buck, Thomson's gazelle, Indian Lion and the African Lion.

 A commemorative stamp on Border Security Force was released by Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh to  mark 50 years of raising of country's largest border guarding force at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 21st October 2015.
