India - Mexico Joint issue

India Post released a set of 2 stamp and a Miniature sheet of 15th Dec.2010 to commemorate 60 years of India - Mexico diplomatic relations.

India and Mexico, both vibrant and pluralistic democracies, established diplomatic relations in 1950 and completed 60 years. The stamps  depicts the Kalbelia dance of Rajasthan, India and Jarabe Tapatio, the national dance of Mexico.

Cloth Stamp from India !

It has been decided that India will release its first ever stamp on Cloth, which will be printed on khadi and it will bear the image of  Mahatma Gandhi.This stamp will be issued during the Indipex 2011.

India Post released a stamp on 11th December 2010 of Prafulla Chandra Chaki, a freedom fighter who sacrificed his life for Independence.

 

Naval Dockyard, Mumbai

 A special cover was released 6th October to celebrate 275 years of glorious service of the Naval Dockyard, Mumbai.

The mission of the Naval Dockyard is to emerge as world class repair Yard with the capacity to maintain the highest state of sea-worthiness and combat preparedness of Indian Naval ships and submarines by harnessing modern technology, augmenting infrastructure and nurturing the human resource in participative and innovative work environment.

India Post Issued a stamp on 6th Dec 2010 of Sri Sri Borda.He was a philosopher and founder of "Satsang", - the community of the lovers of existance. There is only one God and that every single being is the child of God.

Christmas - Russia

Russia issued a postage stamp on 1st December 2010 to celebrate Christmas and New Year.

The stamp depicts the Father Frost holding in his hand an envelope with the New Year greeting against the background of patterns and the Russian tricolor.

India Post released a stamp on Kamlapat Singhania on 1st December 2010. He was a businessman who contributed to the growth of Indian Industry and awakened the entrepreneurial zeal among the average Indian . He was the founder of JK group of Industries and also established the Marwari College in Kanpur to promote higher education in the region.

Some Post Offices of U.A.E

In this Post I take a look at some of the Post Office of U.A.E.

In the Bur Dubai area opposite the entrance to the Basitkya, you can see the Al Mussalla Post office.

The American University of Sharjah has a post office which is a mail collection center. They sell stamps but do not cancel mail. Mail is all processed in the Dubai Post Office

This is a typical suburban post office.
