First cover is on released on 11th January 2010 marking the occasion of the the 14th IndianRailways Jamborette from 11th to 16th January at golden rock, Tiruchirappalli organised bySouthern Railway State Bharat Scouts and Guides. The cancellation shows the sketch of the Rock Fort, the historical landmark of Tiruchirappalli.
The second cover was released on 27th January 2010 on the occasion of All stal Kabaddi Tournament Tamilnadu Circle, with the cancellation of the Kabaddi match. The cover was sponsored by Lakshmi Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Trichy.

A special cover has been released at Satna (M.P.) on 16th January 2010 to commemorate the Shri 1008 Shrimajjinendra Jinbimb Panchkalyanak Pratishtha & Tray Gajrath Mahotsava. The special cover depicts colourful Gajrath alongwith the images of 11 feet high idol of Bhagwan Shantinath situated in the Satna Digamber Jain Mandir and Pujya Acharya Vidhyasagar Ji Maharaj. Special cancellation depicts image of Bhagwan Parshwanath.
INAS 550, 'Flying Fish' was commissioned on 17th June 1959 as the first Air Squadron of the Indian Navy. The flying Fish has operated 13 different kinds of aircraft, including amphibians, helicopters and fighters over the la50 years. The stalwart MR aircraft, Islander and the newer Dorniers form the main stay of the squadron tasked to maintain a constant vigil on the southern maritime borders and undertake training of the Navy’s fledgling Maritime Reconnaissance pilots and observers.
This special cover was released on 17th june 2009 to celebrate 50 glorious years.
India Post has released the first stamp for the year 2010 with this issue.The CSPOC is about the association of the Parliaments of the Independent Sovereign States of the Commonwealth. It was created in 1969 in Canada. The 20th Conference of CSPOC will be held in Delhi, India.
This issue has the information sheet in a new format of the size 8x4 inches. The other side of the sheet is printed in Hindi.
Secretary of Sagar Philatelic and Numismatic Association, Mr.Ganesh Bhat reports that the Annual Exhibition of the Association will be held on 31.01.2010 at CGK Sabhabhavan, Brasam, Sagar, Karnataka. A workshop on "FAKE NOTES IDENTIFICATION"will be conducted by the officials of RBI at the Venue.
The Association was formed on 04.04.04 and is one of the active Associations. Apart from conducting philatelic and numismatic camps/workshops for the school children, it is also conducting exhibition every year. The exhibits will be stamps, coins, notes and other collectibles accepted by the club. These would be one day events. The participants will be the club members and invitees decided by the committee.

India Post has printed the Information Sheet for the first issue of 2010 - Jan 5: 20th Conference of Speakers & Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth in a new smaller format, but it is yet to be known if the same format is to be continued for all the issues. Price remains the same at Rs.2.00
Washington Post reports that Nobel Peace Prize winner Mother Teresa will feature in the postage stamp of us in the year 2010. A stamp in her honor will go on sale on her birthday, Aug. 26, 2010.
The French Post has also included Mother Teresa in its issue program for 2010.
India Post in its website has put up an ad for hiring of an Event Manager under the head "Expression of Interest- Hiring of Event Manager for World Philatelic Exhibition INDIPEX 2011"
