National Fire Service Week

A  Special cover was released on the occasion of the National Fire Service Week on 14th April 2022 at D.R.College, Bengaluru.

National Fire Service week is observed from 14th to 20th April in honour of the exemplary courage and incredible commitment exhibited by firefighters. On 14th April 1944,66 brave firemen sacrificed their lives during the rescue operation on board the freighter SS Stikine at Mumbai.India Post pays homage to such brave firefighters.
