Russian Post released a stamp to celebrate 100th anniversary of the unification of Russia and Tuva on 27th June 2014.The stamp depicts the State Emblem of the Republic of Tuva, surrounded by national ornament.

Russian Post issued a stamp to commemorate 100 years of the factory " Barricades" on 26th June 2014.The stamp depicts a rocket complex "Topol-M" and in the background of factory buildings of Barricades.

Five Principles of Peaceful Co-existence By Myanmar, China and India

A First Day Cover was released by Myanmar to celebrate 60th Anniversary of the announcement of the Five Principles of Peaceful Co-existence By Myanmar, China and India on 8th August 2014.

250 years of the State Hermitage Museum.

Russian Post issued a Souvenir sheet on 20th June 2014, which depicts a modern form of the State Hermitage, an art Borovykovs'kogo "Catherine II on a walk in the Park" (1794, TG), and at the top the logo of the 250th anniversary of the museum.

The State Hermitage Museum - one of the largest in the world of art and historical museums, the beginning of the collection of which was laid in 1764, when Catherine II purchased 225 paintings. Original works of art housed in a special wing of the palace - the Small Hermitage, hence the common name of the future museum.

Republic of Sevastopol.

Russian Post released a stamp on 20th June 2014 on Republic of Sevastopol.The stamp depicts some important landmarks of the City.

World Elephant Day.

A special cover was released at Bangalore on 12th August 2014 to celebrate World Elephant Day. the cover has the picture of the Mysore Elephant Reserve.

Letter from violin wins first prize.

Nataša Miloševic, a 13-year-old girl from Bosnia and Herzegovina, has won the gold medal in the Universal Postal Union’s 43rd International Letter-Writing Competition for Young People.

Gadagpex 2014 - Special Covers

Gadagpex-2014 was held at Gadag on 9th and 10th August 2014. 2 special covers released on 9th August 2014, at the recently concluded Cluster Level Exhibition at Gadag consisting of 6 postal divisions of the Brahma Jainalaya, Lakkundi and Dodda Basappa Temple, Dambala.

200th Flower Show, Bengaluru.

On the occasion of the 200th flower show, Bengaluru,  a special cover was released by India Post at the venue on 8th August 2014. Annual flower shows are organised on the occasion of Independence and Republic day at Lalbagh, Bangalore. This event will be jointly organized by the Dept. of Horticulture and the Mysore Horticultural Society.

The Grand Lalbagh Independence Day Flower Show 2014 will be conducted from 8th to 18th August 2014 by the Department of Horticulture and the Mysore Horticulture Society.

 

 

This Independence day flower show will be much bigger and grandeur as this is also the 200th Flower show of the garden. More than 20,000 flower plants belonging to several flora are getting ready to provide visual feast to the visitors.For every flower show Lalbagh comes up with a unique theme, and for this grand occasion Mysore Palace is going to be the theme of the flower show Mysore Palace made up of Roses is the the major attraction for Lalbagh’s 200th Flower Show.

 

 

 To mark this event 10 frames philately exhibition from the members of Karnataka Philatelic Society, Students From Vijaya High school & Carmel High School are Exhibiting their collection on Subject "FLORA" at the venue.

Russian Post released a stamp on 19th june 2014 on Republic of Crimea.The stamp depicts a seascape, the vineyards and the Palace "Swallow's Nest".

300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg post office.

A souvenir sheet was released by Russian post to celebrate 300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg post office on 10th June 2014.

First Petersburg Post Office was opened in 1714 near the pier on the Trinity River Neva. Souvenir sheet has the image of  antique postcard of the 19th century and the building of the St. Petersburg post office. The circular postage stamp has the writing "St. Petersburg. Pochtamt. 300 years ".

Special cover released by Army Postal Service on completion of Project Seabird Phase -1 on 31st May 2014.

Concord Tower - Magas (Ingushetia).

Russian Post released a stamp of the Tower Concorde on 4th June 2014.

"Concorde Tower" is the symbol and the hallmark of Ingushetia. tall tower, which is located in the center of Magas - the republic's capital, was built in 2013. The prototype of the monument served as the Ingush tribal towers, which were built mainly in the mountainous part of the republic and the height is 30-35 meters from which you can admire the unique views of snow-capped peaks and contemplate expanses of the country.

Yakov Borisovich Zeldovich.

Russia Post released a stamp to celebrate 100th birth anniversary of Yakov Borisovich Zeldovich (1914-1987), a theoretical physicist on 5th May 2014.

Red Building - Centenary

A Special cover was released in Chennai on 24th July 2014 to celebrate the centenary of the Red Building which houses the Office of the General Manager, Postal Accounts and finance of the state of Tamil Nadu.
