175th Birth Anniversary of Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky.

Russia Post released a stamp on 28th May 2015 on the 175th Birth Anniversary of Pyotr I. Tchaikovsky, famous Russian Composer.

The stamp depicts a portrait of the composer, his signature and the building of the Moscow State Conservatory named after Pyotr Tchaikovsky (Russian cultural heritage), the margins of a souvenir sheet depict notes of "The Nutcracker" ballet, and the composition of lira and branches tied with ribbon.

St.James School.

A special cover was released by India Post in Kolkata to celebrate 150th year of St. James School on 5th May 2015.

50th Anniversary of the 1965 War.

India Post released  a set of three commemorative stamp on  "Valour and Sacrifice-1965 War" on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of  1965 War.

 

 

It was  released by the Union Minister for Communications & Information Technology, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad at the Exhibition at India Gate, in New Delhi on 15th September, 2015. The Stamps depicts the spirit and resoluteness of purpose displayed by the three wings of Indian Armed Forces during the 1965 war. 

Salacgriva Lighthouse

Latvia Post released a stamp on Salacgrīva Lighthouse on 21st August 2015 in continuation of the series Lighthouses of Latvia.

Salacgriva Lighthouse is located on the right bank of the Salaca River. It was built in 1925 as a quadrangle white tower with a red lantern. The height of the light was 8.4 meters, while the height of the lighthouse above water was 12.1 meters.It was built because the coast between Salacgriva and Ainazi was the most dangerous area for navigation across the entire coast of the Gulf of Riga due to a lot of ground.

Service Breed of Dogs.

A set of 4 stamp was released by Russia Post on 28th May 2015 depicting Service breed of dogs like the South Russian Shepherd Dog, Caucasian Shepherd Dog, Central Asian Shepherd Dog and Black Russian Terrier.

Joseph Brodsky

Russia Post released a stamp of Joseph Brodsky on 22nd May 2015. He was a Russian and American poet, essayist, playwright, translator, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1987.

Birds of the Himalayas - Vol II - Picture Postcards

India Post North Karnataka Region (Dharwad) has released a set of 48 Picture postcards  on the theme Birds of the Himalayas to observe the International Biodiversity decade 2011-2020. It is released as Vol II in continuation to the earlier set and comes in an attractive box priced at Rs.150/-

376th Madras Day Celebrations.

A special cover was released on 22nd August 2015 to celebrate 376th Madras Day at Chennai by Madras Heritage Lovers' Forum. The cover has the picture of Gold Pagoda of Madras Presidency and the cancellation shows half dudu issued in 1755.

World Hindi Conference

India Post released a stamp on 10th World Hindi Conference on 10th September 2015.

The 10th World Hindi Conference was inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri.Narendra Modi on 10th September 2015 at Bhopal He also released a commemorative stamp on the ocassion. Minister of Communications and Information Technology Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad and other dignitaries were also present.The Conference is being organized from 10th to 12th September 2015 in the city of Bhopal at Lal Parade Ground by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India in partnership with the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

The Eurasian Economic Union.

A special stamp was released by Russian Post on 21st May 2015 on the Eurasian Economic Union. The stamp depicts the logo of the Eurasian Economic Union and the border states of the EAEC: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan

The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEC) is an International organization of regional economic integration established by a treaty, signed by the Presidents of Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation on May 29, 2014. The Eurasian Economic Union came into force on January 1, 2015. It includes the Russian Federation, Republic of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic. 

Women Empowerment.

A set of 4 stamp and a miniature sheet on Women Empowerment was released by the hon'ble Minister for Communications and IT, Shri. Ravi Shanker Prasad on 2nd September 2015 at a function in New Delhi.

A special cover was released to celebrate the Bi-centenary of the birth of Don Bosco on 16th August at Panaji, Goa.
