International Tiger Day - Patna Special Cancellation.

A Special Cancellation was issued at Patna to commemorate International Tiger Day on 29th July 2024. The Special Cancellation depicts tiger head and a Sanskrit text 'व्याघ्रः वनं रक्षेत' i.e. Let the Tiger Protect the Forest. This text has been culled from Udyog Parva of the Mahabharat.This Special Cancellation is an endeavor to create awareness for tiger conservation, as tiger is an iconic and magnificent champion of nature. The Special Cancellation is on Greetings Post issued in 2002 by India Post.
