Frogs of Russia

A set of 4 stamps was released by Russia Post on the Frogs of Russia on 25th February 2021 on Pool frog, Iranian long-legged, Asiatic grass frog and Siberian Wood Frog.

Frogs constitute a group of animals of the order of tailless amphibians consisting of more than 400 species and distributed on nearly all continents; they prefer mainly fresh water ponds.The 10 species of frogs that live on the territory of the Russian Federation are Asiatic grass frog, Iranian long-legged wood frog, laughing frog, moor frog, pool frog, Siberian wood frog, edible frog, grass frog, Hokkaido frog and black spotted frog.

Sri Nirvanaswamy Krupa Vidyapeetha

A Special cover was released during the emerald year celebrations (55 years) of Sri Nirvanaswamy Krupa Vidyapeetha on 27th February 2021 at Kanakapura.

Sri Nirvanaswamy Krupa Vidyapeetha was established in 1966 under the management of Sri Debuamath which has a historical background of around 500 years. Shri Lingaikya Immadi Nirvanamahaswakiji and Lingaikya Immadi Mahalinga Mahaswamiji started a primary school and three High Schools to provide free education, food and boarding facilities to the poor children in rural areas. Gradually Dr.Shi Mummadi Nirvanamahaswakiji and Lingaikya Immadi Mahalinga Mahaswamy extended the educational facilities by opening more Primary, High School, pre University college, ITI, Nursing and B.Ed Colleges in Ramanagar, Chamarajanagar, Mandya and Mysuru Rural districts. Presently more than 35 institutions are run by Sri Vidyapeetha.
