Russian Regions - Omsk
On 12th December 2011 Russia released a stamp on Omsk region of Russia under the series "Russian regions"
The stamp depicts the Dormition Cathedral in Omsk, the sculpture "Winged genius" on the front of the Omsk Drama Theater and the River Irtysh. In this region there are about 1,700 unique archaeological, historical, cultural and other attractions.

Lace from Russia
On 12th December 2011, Russia released a stamp on the series "Arts and Crafts - lace" devoted to the traditional form of folk art - lace fishery. The stamps are in triangular shape.
Basic lace crafts were found in Vologda, Elets, Ryazan, Novgorod, Tula, Vyatka and other cities. Each region has its own style and method determining the place of manufacture of lace.Depicted on stamps Belevsky lace, cape Eletskaya tablecloth, napkin Vologda and Vyatka tablecloth.

Birdpex - 2011 at Brahmavar
An Exhibition on stamps of Birds was held by Daniel Monterio in a bid to enter the Guinness World Records at S.M.S Community Hall on 7th and 8th December 2011. Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate, Udupi was the inaugrator of the function. Dr.Ravi Kumar, Suptd. of Police, Udupi and Mr.Ajith Kumar Hegde, Commissioner, MUDA, were the Chief Guests, Prof. Mathew C. Ninan, Dr. N.A Madhyastha, Mr.S.Gopal and Mr.M.K.Krishnayya were the Guests of Honor.

The Smile Train - Cleft Surgery
The Smile train is a global charity organsiation reaching out to the millions of children suffering from cleft defects and deformities.
The Smile Train has already trained more than 1100 doctors and sponsored more than 1,60,000 surgeries in India. The aim of the Smile Train is not just to put smiles on the faces of kids that have never known one, but to give them a second chance in life.
India Post issued a stamp on 6th December 2011 on Smile Train - Cleft surgery.

Russian regions - Kaluga
Russia released a stamp on the Kaluga Region on 30th November 2011.Stamp depicts house-museum of astronaut KE Tsiolkovsky, a model of the rocket "Vostok" and Zhizdra river.
Kaluga Region, founded in 1944, is bordered by the Moscow, Tula, Bryansk, Smolensk, Orel regions. Administrative center - the city of Kaluga.The Kaluga Region is rich in unique natural (State nature reserve "Kaluga abatis," National Park "Ugra") and cultural (the oldest in Russia Drama Theatre) objects. Largest research center of the city of Obninsk, who grew up next to the open in 1954, the world's first nuclear power plant.

Lighthouses of Croatia.
Set of 3 stamps on Lighthouse of Croatia was released on 18th October 2011 Croatia Post.
Blitvenica: It is located remotey from the group of islets and the farthest from the coast of Zirje, this Lighthouse is located on a tiny island about 7kms South-West of Zirje and about 30kms South-West of Sibenik.
Mulo: This Lighthouse is located on a tiny island about 5 km South-West of Rogoznica. Mulo from North is surrounded by several islets and shoals that were also the reason for building the Lighthouse.
The Prisnjak: This Lighthouse is located on a small island off the North-West end of the much larger island Murter archipelago. The island is special and diverse as it is covered by pine, oak and wild olive trees and curative plants.

Grand Lodge of India
India Post released a stamp of the grand Lodge of India on 25th November 2011 on the occasion of its Golden Jubilee Celebrations.
Freemasonry is one of the world's largest and oldest secular fraternal organisation promoting the principle of the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of Man. Its iniversal motto is spreading "Brotherly Love, Releif and Truth.
Freemasonry society in India was established in 1729 at Kolkota. The apex body of Freemasonry is called "the Grand Lodge".After the independence of India Lodges in India decided to constitute a sovereign body of Freemasonry and accfordingly the Grand Lodge of India was consecrated on 24th Nivember, 1961 at New Delhi. Some of the Prominent Freemasons of india Include Swami Vevekananda, C. Rajagopalachari and Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed.

Painting of Mangalorean Girl on Children's day MS.
Mangalorean girl's Painting featured in the miniature sheet of Children's day stamp which was released on 14th November 2011.
Sriraksha, a class six student of Canara Girls school, Dongerkeri, Mangalore, is a talented girl whose has won many state and national level painting competition. She won the first prize at the 'Design a stamp' competetion held by the Postal Department in the junior category at the National level. The Theme of the painting was " Save the Tiger" or Tiger conservation.

20 years of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
On 3rd November 2011, Russia released a stamp to mark 20 years of the Commonwealth of Independent States. it is a regional international organization designed to regulate the relations of cooperation between the 11 former Soviet socialist republics of the former USSR. The stamp shows 11 flags of States, members of the CIS, as well as the emblem of the CIS.

200 years of Russian Gas.
Russia released a stamp on 28th October 2011 to commemorate 200 years of use of Gas in Russia, when PG Sobplev established the first plant to produce synthetic gas, known as "termolamp." This stamp features a portrait of PG Sobolevsky against passers-by strolling in the light of the first gas street lamps in St.Petersburg.

Commissioning INS Satpura.
A special cover was released in Mumbai on August 20, 2011 on the occasion of Commissioning INS Satpura. It is the latest stealth frigate of Indian Navy, with pennant number F48, second ship of the Shivalik Class Frigates built by Mazagon Dock Limited, Mumbai.
The special postmark shows the Crest (design showing "Khandas" - Indian double-edge straight sword ) and motto (Resolve, Pride, Courage) and the cachet shows INS Satpura in action.

Egypt - Singapore Joint Issue.
On 17th October a Joint stamp was issued by Egypt and Singapore on rivers of both the Country, Nile and the Singapore River.
The Nile is a major north-flowing river in North Africa, generally regarded as the longest river in the world. It is 6,650 km long. It runs through the ten countries of Sudan, South Sudan, Burundi, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda and Egypt.
The Singapore River which is the most famous river among about 90 rivers in Singapore, flows from the Central Area, which lies in the Central Region in the southern part of Singapore before emptying into the ocean.
