Russia Post issued a stamp on 6th September 2016 on JSC LUKOIL, one of the largest companies that extract oil and gas, and produce petroleum and petrochemicals. The postage stamp depicts an oil industry worker against the background of an oil-producing complex.

Russia Post issued a stamp on the Unified State Exam on 14th September 2016.

The Unified State Exam (USE) is the main form of graduation examinations in schools and a form of preliminary examinations in Russian universities since 2009.The postage stamp features the USE logo and Choice of the Future motto.

M G Ramachandran

India Post released a stamp on Dr. M G Ramachandran on 17th January 2017 on the occasion of his birth centenary.

The birth centenary of Dr. M G Ramachandran was celebrated on 17th January 2017 at the Dr MGR Medical University campus in Guindy. On the occasion a Commemorative Stamp was released by the Tamilnadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam in presence of Shri T. Murthy, Director General of Department of Posts, Shri Charles Lobo, Chief Postmaster General, Tamilnadu Circle and other cabinet ministers.
 

Ulan-Ude City

Russia Post issued a stamp on 1st September 2016 to celebrate the 350th Foundation Anniversary of Ulan-Ude City.

Ulan-Ude is the capital city of the Republic of Buryatia. The city was founded in 1666 as a Cossack winter settlement of Udinskoye; from 1783, it was called Verkhneudinsk. Later, the town was renamed Ulan-Ude in 1934.

The postage stamp features the coat of arms of Ulan-Ude against the background of the fountain on the Teatralnaya Square and Tsidinzhapov Buryat State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.
 

Russian Arctic National Park

Russia Post released a souvenir sheet on 30th August 2016 on the Russian Arctic National Park which is the northernmost specially protected natural land area of Russia. The park is situated on two polar archipelagoes. 

The unique geographical location of the park defines a number of its features and the wide variety of creatures. All the year round bowhead whale dwell in the sea near the islands, herds of narwhals, rare species of sea-unicorns, come inshore.In the spring time polar bears come into the world there and begin their life journey in the ice.

The main tasks of the national park is to preserve ecosystems and nature-made objects, to protect rare species of animals and plants, to conduct scientific researches and to provide education.

The souvenir sheet depicts a polar bear, an emblematic panorama and Russian Arctic National Park logo.

Stadiums for The 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™

On 26th august 2016 Russia post released a set of 4 stamps on Stadiums for The 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ is set to take place from 14 June until 15 July 2018. The tournament will be hosted at 12 stadiums in 11 Russian cities. The stamps shows stadiums like Volgograd Arena, Ekaterinburg Arena, Rostov Arena and the Samara Arena.

Kizhi

Russia Post issued a souvenir sheet on 19th August 2016 with 3 stamps to celebrate the 50th Foundation Anniversary of the State Historical and Ethnographic Museum-Reserve "Kizhi"

The basis of the museum's collection is an outstanding monument of Russian wooden architecture – the Kizhi Ensemble, which was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1990.

The museum funds consists of over 53 000 exhibits. The collection includes objects of ethnography, archeology, works the Old Russian painting, modern paintings and drawings, manuscripts and printed books, documents and photographs. In general meeting the Kizhi Museum comprehensively reflects the material and spiritual culture of the indigenous peoples of Karelia.

First long-duration space flight

Russia Post released a stamp of  German Titov on 5th August 2016 to celebrate 55 years of the first long-duration space flight.

In August 1961, German Titov, a pilot-cosmonaut, driving a space ship "Vostok-2", made the second in the Astronautics history of the world, after the flight of Yuri Gagarin, breaking more than 700 thousand km and making 17 turnovers around the Earth. It was the first record of the duration of being in space. During this time German Titov has successfully carried out several scientific experiments, made the first photo of the Earth from the space and on the personal example proved that people can live and work in space.

Omsk City

Russia Post issued a stamp on the 300th Foundation Anniversary of Omsk City  on 6th August 2016.

The stamp features the architectural objects of the city, a monument of "Soldier" on the background of the Omsk fire tower of Stolypin State Agrarian University and residential buildings "House with a spire".

India - Portugal : Joint issue.

India Post released a Joint Issue on Diplomatic relations between India and Portugal released on 7th January 2017.The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi and the Prime Minister of Portuguese Republic, Mr. Antonio Costa released a set of two commemorative Joint Issue stamps and a miniature sheet at Hyderabad House, New Delhi . The stamps depict Dandiya Dance of India and Pauliteiros Dance of Portugal.

A special cover was released to mark the inauguration which has "logo on leaf" Drawing on pepal leaf is an ancient craft which emanated from India, especially from Tamilnadu. the tree is considered sacred by Hindus and Buddhists since it is believed that Buddha sat under this tree and attained enlightment.

Russia Post issued a stamp to commemorate he 100th Foundation Anniversary of the Moscow Joint-Stock Company Likhachov Automobile Plant on 2nd August 2016 depicting the automobile ZIL-130 on the background of the first building of the plant.

India Post released a stamp of Deendayal Upadhyaya  on 29th December 2016.

Legendary Singers of India

India Post released a set of 10 stamp and a miniature sheet on the legendary Singers of India on 30th December 2016.

The stamps featured Indian singers namely Talat Mahmood, Manna Dey, Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Mukesh, Hemant Kumar, Bhupen Hazarika, Geeta Dutt, T. M. Soundarajrajan and Shamshad Begum.

Happy New Year

India Post released a Miniature sheet on 1st January 2017 consisting of 12 stamps  featuring Ganesh Pol, Amber Fort, Pashmina Shawl, Chhau Mask, Bodhi Tree, Sarota, Peacock Gate, Chaitya Hall, Tanjavur Painting, Blue Pottery, Stained Glass Window, Peitra Dura and Zardozi to celebrate Happy New year 2017.  

The stamps were also issued in a 12 sheet desk calendar sold at Rs 1,000. The size of stamps in the calendar is much larger from the miniature sheet.
