A Special cover on Udupi Saree was released on 25th March 2022 at Udupi.
The Prevalance of Handloom Sarees in the District of Udupi dates back to the year 1838, varieties of Udupi Saree include saree printed with square geometric patter called "Parimala Saree", Saree with very simple design called " Menaka Saree" and saree printed with dots called " Menaka Butta Saree". Apart from Udupi district these hand loom sarees were also weaved in Padu Panambur and Talippadi of Dakshina Kannada District.
