Nanjangud Banana

 A Special cover on the Nanjangud Banana was released on 6th January 2022 at Nanjangud.

The Nanjangud Banana, natively called as Nanjangud Rasabalehannu, is variety of banana grown in and around the area of Mysuru and Chamarajanagar district of Karnataka. It is famous for its unique taste and aroma. The black clay alluvial saline soil found in and around Nanjangud accounts for this.
