A special cover was released on the occasion of International Workshop on Prevention and Management of Hemoglobinopathics and Hemophilia at Bengaluru on 1st February 2018.
Thalassemias and Hemoglobinopathics are the commonest single gene disorders in the world. People with Hemophillia, a rare genetic bleeding disorder that affects one in 10000 people, do not have enough clotting factor VIII ( Hemophillia A) or less commonly, clotting factor IX ( Hemophillia B) in their blood.
