It was the largest outbreak of Russian workers in the 19th century. A thin blue line repeating a white stripe outline symbolizes the Klyazma, which divides the town into Orekhovo and Zuyevo. A branch of hazelwood with two nuts symbolizes Orekhovo. The charadrius represents Zuyevo.
