BIPEX - 2024 , Patna.

Three Special covers were released on the occasion of BIPEX - 2024 State Level Philatelic Exhibition held at Patna on 28th and 29th November 2024.

A special Cover was issued on 'Chanakya, Chandragupta and the Arthshastra' on 28.11.2024, the inaugural day of  BIPEX - 24. Chandragupta Maurya was the founder of the Mauryan Empire. With the guidance of his mentor Chanakya, he established one of the largest empires in ancient India. The Arthshastra, a treatise on public administration, is attributed to Chanakya, also known as Kautilya or Vishnugupta.Chanakya, Chandragupta and the Arthshastra have been depicted on cover illustration and cancellation.

A special cover was issued on 28.11.2024 during BIPEX - 2024, honoring famous folk singer Sharda Sinha, who was popularly known as Bihar Kokila i.e. Nightingale of Bihar. Apart from folklore, she sang for several films as well. She was awarded Padma Shri in 1991 and the Sangeet Natak Academy Award in 2000. She breathed her last on Nov 5, 2024.The cover depicts Sharda Sinha and the cancellation depicts Harmonium.

A special cover was issued at Patna on 29.11.2024 during BIPEX - 2024 on the Vedas and Upanishads have been depicted on the cover illustration and cancellation. Vedas and Upanishads, along with other scriptures, form a comprehensive spiritual and philosophical repository that have shaped our culture and tradition.
