Russia Post released a stamp on 28th November 2023 depicting Kherson Region with an image of the Askania Nova Reserve, a monument to Grigory Potemkin, and watermelons that are cultivated in the fields of the Kherson Region.
The Kherson Region is a region of the Russian Federation, located in the south-west of the country on the left bank of the lower reaches of the Dnieper River. It is located on the shores of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. The temporary administrative capital of the Kherson Region is the city of Genichesk.
