A Set of 5 special covers were released at Krishpapex 2023, first Udupi District Level Philatelic Exhibition held at Udupi on 18th and 19th November 2023.
Dr.Vedavyasa Srinivasa Acharya is a visionary leader, able administrator and founder of modern Udupi. Instrumental in making Udupi - First municipality in India to ban manual scavenging and open defecation in 1967. This special cover is being released to commemorate the visionary leadership of founder of Modern Udupi on the occasion of the First District Level Philately Exhibition, KRISHNAPEX 2023 at Udupi.

Dr.Thonse Madhav Anant (TMA) Pai, founder and Architect of Manipal, was born on 30th April 1898 in Kallianpur, Udupi District, Karnataka, He was self-made man who understood and identified the three major issues that were plaguing the community. his passion for solving local problems like illiteracy, ill health and poverty led to establishment of the Nursing Home(1926) the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College (1949), the Kasturba Medical College(1953) and the Manipal of Higher Education(MAHE) (1993). His intentions and efforts turned his vision in to reality, providing education, healthcare and employment opportunities to all. This special cover is being released to commemorate the 125th Birth anniversary of Dr. TMA Pai.

The Karnataka Cashew Manufacturers Association(R), Mangalore is the apex association of Cashew Processors as well as the cashew growers. the Association has a long-standing history of being a very prominent trade body in Mangalore and Coastal Districts. Late Malpe Madhwaraj, the King of Fishing Industry and the doyen of the fisheries industry in the coastal region of Karnataka. Around 60 years ago, he put his efforts into upgrading the traditional method of fishing and encouraged his fellow fisherman to begin with mechanised boats and established business units like Coronet Canning which contributed to the development of Maple Port.
