Russia Post released 2 set of 2 stamp each on the counterintelligence heroes of the Soviet Union on 17th December 2018
Krygin Mikhail Petrovich (1918–1945) - military counterintelligence
officer, lieutenant. The title of Hero of the Soviet Union
(posthumously) was awarded for showing courage and heroism in the fight
against the Japanese invaders during the Seysin operation.
Vasily Mikhailovich Chebotaryov (1918–1944) - military
counterintelligence, guard lieutenant. The title of Hero of the Soviet
Union (posthumously) was awarded for the exemplary performance of combat
missions of the command at the front, courage and heroism shown in
battles during the operation "Bagration".
Sergey Sergeyevich Gromov (1966–1995) - Soviet and Russian officer, captain of the Airborne Forces, counterintelligence officer. On February 27, 1995, for the courage and heroism shown in the performance of service and military duty, Captain Sergey Sergeevich Gromov was awarded the title Hero of the Russian Federation posthumously. He was awarded medals "For Courage", "For distinction in military service" 1st and 2nd degrees.
Ugryumov German Alekseevich (1948–2001) - figure of the state security agencies of Russia, admiral, Hero of the Russian Federation. The title of Hero of the Russian Federation was awarded by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of December 20, 2000 for courage and heroism shown in the performance of military duty. Awarded the Order for Military Merit, Badge of Honor; medals, including "For Courage in a Fire" (1974); badges "Honorary Counterintelligence Officer" (1997); "For service in counterintelligence" 2nd and 3rd degree.
