A special cover was released on 13th April 2016 at the premises of Mangaluru Collectorate Post Office, District Commissioner's Office Complex , Mangaluru, to commemorate 20 years journey of Pilikula Nisargadhama. It is dedicated to promote eco-tourism and creation of awareness about our environment and traditional cultural practices.

Dr.Shivarama Karantha Pilikula Nisirghadhama, Mangaluru located 10 Kms from Mangaluru city encompasses 356
acres of land dedicated to the conservation of bio-diversity if Western
Ghats, heritage and culture, creation of awareness in science and
technology. To showcase heritage and culture,a unique live heritage
village is set up in Pilikula. Cultural practices of olden times are
recreated to experience the heritage Guthumane (Residence of Village
headman) paddy field, coconut and areca garden, Nagabana, kambalagadde
(buffalo race field) are important components of the Heritage village.
