Russia Post released a stamp on State Nature Biosphere Reserve “Kerzhenski” on 25th November 2014.
State Reserve "Kerzhensky" was founded April 23, 1993. Located in the middle basin of the river Kerzhenets (tributary of the Volga) in NN Semenov and regions of Nizhny Novgorod region. It has reserve of valuable animals like beaver, muskrat, otter, grouse, golden eagle and others, rare plants like Gypsophila paniculata, sleep-grass, etc. and about 144 species of birds have been observed.
