A special cover was released on 18th January 2015 to celebrate the birth centenary of Late Kondajji Basappa.
Kondajji Basappa was a graduate in science from Bangalore University and did his LL.B from Pune University. He took an active role in promotion of Scout and Guide Movement in Karnataka.
Jamborette is a gathering of scouts & guides of age group between 10 & 17 years. This special cover is released during the Jamborette held once in two years. It contributes to the development of young people physically, mentally, morally, spiritually & emotionally, thereby enabling the future generation to be responsible global citizens & contribute to society at large.The centenary of Late Kondajji Basappa, the State Chief Commissioner of Karnataka, Bharat Scouts & Guides is also commemorated during this period.
