An introduction of Permanent Pictorial Cancellation and a special cover on Kempegowda Tower was released on 23rd July 2013 by Chief Postmaster General at a function held in Meghdoot Auditorium, GPO Building, Bangalore.Veena Srinivas, Postmaster General (BD) with Arundhaty Ghosh, PMG (SK), Hilda Abraham, Chief Post Master General and Prakash K, DPS Headquarters were also present.
The permanent cancellation at
Basavanagudi Head Post Office (The Kempe Gowda tower) . The special
cover and 32 karnataka pictorial cancellation pack on post cards
including the
ones depicting Belur, Helbedu, Bandipur, Nagarahole, Badami ,Aihole
etc.
Special Thematic packs featuring bilateral issues, great personalities,
and
flora and fauna were also made available for sale.
