Bilaspex - 2017 District level exhibition was held at Bilaspur from 28th to 30th January 2017. Three special covers were released during the same. Special cover on Fabric of Chhattisgarh on 28th, Kotisonar, Crocodile park on 29th and a cover on Universal cleanliness was released on 30th January 2017.
A set of 2 special cover was released on the occasion of Bastarpex - 2017 held from 7th January to 8th January 2017 at Jagadalpur. Special cover of Bhadrakali Sangam was released on 7th January and of Maria dance on 8th January.
A souvenir sheet was issued on Abramtsevo State Historical, Artistic and Literary Museum-Reserve on 25th October 2016 which bears the portraits of Sergei Aksakov and Savva Mamontov and in the margins the main manor of the Abramtsevo Museum Reserve.
The Abramtsevo Museum Reserve is located 60 km from Moscow, not far from Sergiyev Posad. The museum complex comprises architectural monuments of the 18th and the 19th centuries (6 of them are monuments of federal importance), a park and a scenic surrounding area of the Vorya River, where outstanding Russian artists created their works of art. The museum collection contains more than 25,000 objects — paintings, drawings, ceramics, photos, sculptures and others.
In 1843, Sergey Aksakov (1791–1859), a writer, civil servant and public person, book and theater critic, as well as an author of memoirs and books about fishing and hunting, bought Abramtsevo.
Savva Mamontov (1841-1918), a railway mogul, philanthropist and founder of the first private opera in Russia, purchased Abramtsevo in 1870. During this time, Vasily Polenov, Viktor Vasnetsov, Ilya Repin, Ilya Ostroukhov, Valentin Serov, Konstantin Korovin, Mikhail Nesterov, Mikhail Vrubel and other artists, musicians and actors lived and worked in the estate.
A special cover was released on 02 February 2017 on Sri Kanakagiri Athishaya Mahothsava - 2017 at Kanakagiri.
Sri Kshetra Kanakagiri, surrounded by a fort, is a holy Jain Centre and Stone edicts and basadis (Jain shrines) dating back to 11th Century AD are found here. It has the Nishadi Caves, Sarnadhi Mantapas, inscriptions and footprints from ancient times. Sri Kshetra Kanakagiri is also known as Nakopama Shaila, meaning heaven's crest. The ancient name for this piligrim center was 'Suvarnagiri'. Located near Maleyur in Chamarajanagar District in Karnataka, the area is home to dense forests with sandalwood trees.
Russia Post released a set of 2 stamp on Light house Tarkhankut and Chersonesus with maps appropriating to their location, and the mariner's cards on 29th September 2016.
The Tarkhankut and the Chersonesus Lighthouses is located on the Black Sea coast of the Republic of Crimea. They are called “twin-brothers” because they both were built in 1816 by one and the same design and they were put into service in June 1817 after installation of parabolic reflectors that were delivered from St. Petersburg.
A special cover was released on 15th January 2017 on Jaitkham at Raipur.
The world's tallest JAITKHAM is situated at Tapobhumi Satnam Dham Giroudpuri Distt-Baloda Bazar Chhattisgarh. Giroudpuri is Tapobhumi (Land of Penance) of founder, mentor of Satnam religion and announcer of equality amongst human beings Guru GHASIDAS. JAITKHAM is a symbol of Satnam religion and its height is 77 meters. On the top of JAITKHAM, unfurling white rectangle flag (PALO) is disseminating the message of truth and peace in the world.
Russia Post released a stamp to commemorate 100 years of the plant named after V. Degtyaryov on 27th September 2016. The postage stamp features the stele “The Degtyarev plant workers for the Motherland. 1941–1945” and the front of building A of the Degtyarev plant.
Russia Post released a stamp on 22nd September 2017 on Alexander Prokhorov (1916–2002) who was an outstanding Soviet physicist, one of the founders of quantum electronics. A laser technology pioneer, he won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1964.
